타트리즈는 팔레스타인인의 역사와 삶, 저항의 의미를 담아 왔습니다. 팔레스타인인들은 국기가 금지되었던 시기에 국기의 색과 상징을 자수에 담기도 했습니다. 팔레스타인의 정체성과 저항을 드러내는 상징이 된 타트리즈를 재한 팔레스타인인 예술가 리나드로부터 배워 봐요.

Tatreez has long carried the history, lives, and spirit of resistance of the Palestinian people. During periods when the Palestinian flag was banned, people wove its colors and symbols directly into their embroidery. Join us to learn Tatreez—a powerful symbol of Palestinian identity and resistance—directly from a Palestinian artist living in Korea.

리나드 Renad

팔레스타인 시각예술가 리나드는 국민대 회화 석사과정 졸업생으로, 지난해 <저항은 희망을 낳고><Darzeh: 손이 결코 잊지 못하는 것> 전시회를 통해 팔레스타인 여성들이 공유하는 강인한 회복력의 이야기를 들려줬다. 이번 팔레스타인 전통 자수 공예 워크숍을 통해 리나드의 예술세계의 일부를 공유할 예정이다.

Palestinian visual artist Renad is a graduate of the MFA painting program at Kookmin University. Last year, through her exhibitions Resistance Gives Birth to Hope and Darzeh: What the Hands Never Forget, she shared the story of the fierce resilience that Palestinian women hold in common. Through this Palestinian traditional embroidery workshop, she will share a piece of her artistic world with us.

• 참가료: 10,000원 (재료비 포함) 

  Price is 10,000 won (includes materials)

• 참여대상: 8세 이상 아동부터 성인까지 (선착순 10명 내외) 

    Who can join: adults and children as young as 8 (limited to the first 10 registrants)

   * 12세 이하 아동의 경우 보호자 동반 참여 필수

   * children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by a guardian
